Matt Drury

Matt is a native of Lebanon and knew from a very young age that someday he would like to become a funeral director. His dedication and passion for funeral service are what drive him every day - helping families through some of the most difficult decisions they will ever have to make.
Matt is involved in numerous civic and fraternal organizations and believes in giving back to his hometown community and his chosen profession. Memberships include Boone Lodge No. 9, F&A.M, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Boone County Shrine Club, Elks Lodge 422, VFW Post 910, American Legion Post 51, Knights of St. Andrew, Semester at Sea Alumni Association and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Matt was appointed by two different Governors to the Indiana State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service and was elected Chairman. He was appointed a member of the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission and served on the board of directors for the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, Boone County Senior Services and Boone County Cancer Society.
After graduating Lebanon High School in 1991 he attended Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida and then the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

Maili is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Indiana, she also is a licensed insurance agent. Maili assists families with making their pre-arranged funeral services. A native of Lebanon, Maili and her husband, Zachary James Davis and their son who was born on Christmas day, George, along with their dog, Mojo, live in Lebanon. Maili is an active member of the Lebanon Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors for the Boone County Senior Citizens. Maili is a graduate of the Lebanon High School, attended mortuary school at Vincennes University and earned a Masters degree in Psychology. In addition to working at the funeral home, Maili manages Blooms by Sandy, a local flower shop in Lebanon purchased by the Davis and Drury families in 2022. Her attention to detail along with her gentle, compassionate manner helps families understand and navigate the difficult process of having to make funeral arrangements. We are fortunate to have her as a member of our firm and value her commitment to the funeral service profession.

Roxie Stewart

Mrs. Roxie (Burdine) Stewart, 68, of Jamestown, passed away June 2, 2019.
Roxie was born Aug 21, 1950, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Herman and Lucille (McKinney) Burdine. She married Robert W. Stewart of North Salem on Mar. 27, 1970. They lived in Jamestown most of their married life. Roxie was the mother of Robert Allen (Stephanie) Stewart of Jamestown and Robin (Chuck) Osborne of Thorntown. She was the grandmother of Adam, Andrew, and Clara Meadows; Kennedy Osborne, Ethan and Aubrey Stewart.
Roxie was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy and a substitute teacher at Western Boone High School. She was the first lady on the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Dept. serving over 13 years. She helped with the Myrtle Bailey Boone County Christmas Toy Drive, served on the Western Boone Prom Committee, owned a flower shop for a short time, made special order cakes and was a grounds keeper at the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather Friday, June 7, 2019, for visitation from 2-8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon and funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of God of Prophecy in Jamestown. Jim Acton

Mr. James “Jim” H. Acton, 77, of Lebanon, passed away Sept. 5, 2017, at Witham Hospital.
Jim was born on Mar. 2, 1940, in Lebanon, the son of the now late Victor Bruer Acton and Mae F. Peabody Acton.
Jim graduated from Pinnell High School. He worked for Royal Cleaners and Laundry for 36 years, was on the Lebanon City Council for 23 years and most notably was elected the Mayor of Lebanon in 1990 and served from 1991 until his retirement in 2007. Jim also served as President for the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.
Jim was passionate about his community and worked very hard for the city of Lebanon. He was involved in many organizations including the Lebanon Elks Lodge #635, Eagles, Moose, VFW/American Legion, Boone Lodge #9 F & AM, Scottish Rite Indianapolis Valley 33rd Degree, Murat Shrine, Indianapolis Horse Patrol Unit, and Royal Order of Jesters Court 15. Jim was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Judy Walburn of Lebanon, his son Brian (Pam) Acton of Carmel and his daughter Barbara Harnish of Kentucky; grandchildren Christina Gallenstein, Brittney Edmonds, Chase Acton, Taylor Acton and Haley Harnish; a brother Charles Acton of Dover, a sister Irene Urban of Lebanon, a sister-in-law Jean Acton of Lebanon; his former wife Kathy Powell Acton; along with several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Acton.
