Obituary

Zachary Lee "Zack" Dixon, 29, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by family. Zack was born July 13, 1993, in Indianapolis, a son of Richard Dixon and the late June Dixon.

Zack graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 2012. He taught everyone he knew about kindness and unconditional love. His smile was infectious and he never met a stranger. He loved his friends and family dearly. Zack was a loving son, brother, and a very proud uncle.

Zack enjoyed shooting pool at the Eagles, where he was a two-year member. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, and traveling with his dad, especially to the Smoky Mountains.

Survivors include his father, Richard; siblings, Connie (Jay) Funk, Ellen (Mark) Bailey, Rick (Lynetta Boice) Barnard, Rob (Elizabeth) Barnard, Jenny (Bill) Bailey, Casey (Nick) Payne, Austin, Wade, and Zoe Dixon, and Anthony, Skyler, and Krista Phillips; grandparents, Terry and Marolyn Hale; biological parents, Joe Dixon and Angle Hale; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Zack was preceded in death by his loving mother, June Dixon.

Family and friends will gather Monday, Jan. 16, for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Lebanon Eagles on January 22, at 2 p.m.
