Mr. William Stombaugh, 72, of Advance, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born September 20, 1951, in Lafayette, a son of the late Donald and Esther (Latta) Stombaugh Johnson. He married Jean Blissmer on July 11, 1981 and she survives.

He was an avid golfer, photographer, animal and lighthouse lover. He was a Vietnam era veteran of the United States Navy.  Up until one month before his death, Bill worked at the Advance Post Office where he was loved by everyone including the town's pets.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Stombaugh of Advance; daughters, Jennifer Natasha Brodner (Bryan) and Amanda Scruggs, both of Oklahoma City; three granddaughters, Karsyn Elayna Scruggs, Brienna Brodner and Jordan Brodner; brothers, Mike Stombaugh (Liz) and Danny Stombaugh (Dawn), along with several nieces and nephews and their families.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Esther Stombaugh; sister, Donna Stombaugh and brother, Ronn Stombaugh.
