Mr. Stephen M. Gregg, 77, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Stephen was born Feb. 22, 1945, in Indianapolis, a son of the late Dr. Edwin Eugene and Bernice (Wells) Gregg. He married Janet Allen on Apr. 22, 1966, in the Thorntown Presbyterian Church. She survives.

Stephen graduated from Thorntown High School. He worked as a lab technician for Eli Lilly for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. Stephen was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing, woodworking, country line dancing, and bowling. He was a member of the Thorntown Lions Club, the Lebanon Elks Lodge, and the Lebanon Eagles Lodge. He also served as trustee for the Thorntown Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Gregg of Lebanon, survivors include sons, Kirk (Cherity) Gregg and Christopher Gregg, both of Thorntown; daughter, Dawn (Leonard) Stepp of Thorntown; brother, Michael (Sue) Gregg of Indianapolis; sister, Gay (Charles Cashdollar) Gregg of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Clinton (Abigail) Gregg, Mikada (Tyler) Davis, and Marcus and Macy Stepp; and great grandchildren, Alexis, Addison, Emery, Ripp, Camden, Kavin, Camille, and Kamira.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Aug. 6 for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. in the Strawmyer and Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Stephen will be laid to rest in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
