Mrs. Sonja J. Fine, 78, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by family. She was born February 15, 1947, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Donald F. Williams, Sr. and Martha (Snow) Williams

On May 20, 1977, Sonja was united in marriage to Willie D. "Sparkie" Fine, Jr., and they shared 48 years together before his passing on May 9, 2025.

Sonja worked throughout her life as a beautician, retail manager, and in banking. She cherished her family above all else and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. A faithful member of Hope Community Church, Sonja's faith was a source of strength and comfort. She also enjoyed shopping and time spent with her loved ones.

Survivors her children, Roy Kenneth Hale, Karen L. (Johnny) Saulmon, and Kathy A. (Ricky) Urban; grandchildren, Jessica Fine Kraus, Kati J. (Samm) Foster, Luke W. Hale, Mari A. Hale, Dr. Ashleigh E. (Karl) Tharp, Bayleigh J. Saulmon, Hayleigh R. Saulmon, Chelsey L. (Jeff) Inman, and Macey A. (Dakota) Powell; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and brothers, William "Bill" Williams and Donald F. Williams, Jr.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sonja was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Y. Fine; son, Gary L. Fine; brother, Harold Edward "Eddie" (Louella) Williams; sisters, Viola (Ben) Loller and Patricia (Norman) Smiley; and sisters-in-law, Susie Williams and Judy Williams.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, October 7, for visitation from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. in the Hope Community Church, 665 W 375 N, Lebanon, IN 46052.
