Sheri Lynn Miller, 61, of Zionsville, passed away Sept. 7, 2018, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Sheri was born Aug. 21, 1957, in Anderson, a daughter of the late John W and Ada L Hasler.

She met the love of her life, James R Miller, in Indianapolis in 1976 while attending IU Bloomington for physical therapy. They spent an incredible 38 years of marriage together. They had one son, Justin C Miller, who was born in 1986 and was their pride and joy.

Until her retirement, she worked in the physical therapy department at IU Health; first helping the injured and later future therapists as the Education Coordination for the department.

She and her family resided for 30 years on W. 34th Street in Indianapolis.  Eventually, health concerns necessitated a move to the Hearth at Tudor Gardens in Zionsville and lived there for the last year and a half.

Sheri enjoyed gardening, bingo, board games, reading, and visiting with her friends. Her time on this earth was dedicated to her family, her love of God, and her flowers.  She will be deeply missed by those that her life touched over the years, at IU Health, Grace Community Church, Cub Scout Troop 41, and The Hearth at Tudor Gardens, and anywhere else she could provide an open ear or helping hand.

She is survived by her son Justin C Miller (Phillip D Ford) of Lebanon; siblings Lucinda K Smith of Lebanon and Ronald C Hasler of Indianapolis; mother-in-law Vivian I Miller of Bloomington; father-in-law Robert E Miller of Ellettsville; aunt Joyce A Johnson of Bloomington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sheri was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother Vera Dinwiddie; and brother-in-law Mike E Smith.

Family and friends will gather Wed., Sept. 12, 2018, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and funeral services will take place Thur., Sept. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Sheri will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
