Scott Alan Dick, 51, of Thorntown, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Scott was born Dec. 28, 1970, in Frankfort, a son of the late Elmer and Maxine (Fearrin) Dick.

Scott graduated from Western Boone High School with the class of 1989. He currently worked for Triangle Asphalt for several years. Scott was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts and also loved music and fishing. He was a mild-mannered and kind man who everyone loved. His family was especially important to him, and he loved his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Kaycee Ball, Sydney Dick, and Jordan Dick; grandchildren, Albie Ball and Paisley Dick; long-time love and companion, Shannon Cain;  siblings, Carol (Mark) Crum, Sandra (Chris) DeVol, Teresa Hunter, Goldie (Roger) Ford, Brenda (Doug) Hicks, and Malcolm (Donna) Dick, special friends Gary and Teresa Cain, several nieces and nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his sisters, Darlena Sloan, Margaret Ray, Phyllis Wagoner, and Linda Douglass.

Family and friends will gather Friday, Aug. 12, for visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Scott will be laid to rest at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown at a later date.
