Samantha was born March 5, 1968, in Cincinnati, OH, a daughter of the late Don and Harriet (Yuellig) Holbrook. She was married to Robert D. Vickery, Jr. He survives.

Samantha graduated Cum Laude from DeVry University with a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management and received her Associates of Applied Science in nursing from the University of Cincinnati.

She was a histotechnician and Adjunct Pathologist Assistant at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Samantha worked in the field of histology for over 30 years with work experiences as a vet tech, MOHS dermatology, Alzheimer's research, pharmaceutical research, forensic pathology, and histopathology. It was said by several leading pathologists that she was one of the top histotechs in the country and had a work ethic second to none.

In addition, Samantha was a former model with the Ford Modeling Agency in New York City as a teenager. She was featured in over 50 different national magazine campaigns for Salem and Kool cigarettes and was one of the original Hawaiian Tropic models.

Her professional Memberships included the American Society for Clinical Pathologists, National Society of Histotechnology and the Indiana Histology Society.

Samantha loved spending time with her husband, daughters, grandkids, family, friends, and her two dachshunds, Maybell and Kirby. She enjoyed collecting anything related to the medical field and everything related to little piggies.

Samantha was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She had a kind-soul with a heart of gold that touched the lives of those she came into contact with. She never knew a stranger and was always willing to help anyone, personally and professionally. She had a strong faith and spiritual foundation with Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
