Roger Ray Burtner, 51, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 2, 1971, the youngest son of the late Jackie Lamar and Freda (Hinton) Burtner.

Roger attended Western Boone High School and also attended culinary school. He worked as a chef for several different restaurants over the years. Roger loved to draw and all of his drawings were amazing.

Survivors include his brothers, Walter (Bridgette) Burtner of Lebanon, Kenny (Cheryl) Burtner of Bowling Green, Robert (Teresa) Burtner of Mechanicsburg, Randy (Aubrey) Burtner of Shelbyville, and Mike Burtner of New York, sister-in-law, Gayle Burtner of Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Lamar and Jackie Lee Burtner.

Family and friends will gather Monday, Nov. 6, for visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
