Mr. Robert "Bob" Lee Pittman, 94, of Lebanon, passed away August 13, 2017 at Homewood Health Campus.

Bob was born on Feb. 19, 1923, in Lebanon, the son of the now late Virgil and Mary Edna (Wynkoop) Pittman. He was married to Ruth A. Shapley. She survives.

Bob was a graduate of Dover High School. He was a farmer his whole life, having farmed for over 60 years, and he enjoyed gardening in his later years. Until recently, he built wooden swings and chests that many people in the community still enjoy. Bob was a member of Dover Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife Ruth, children: Larry Pittman of Ft. Myers, FL, Sharon (Ronald) Rolston of Jamestown, Harold (Sue) Pittman of Brownsburg, and David (Mary Jo) Pittman of Carmel; grandchildren: Kerry (Mindy) Pittman of Ft. Myers, Kursten Jarrett of Ft. Myers, Brian (Allyson) Rolston of Leesburg, VA, Jeffrey (Ann) Rolston of Lapel, IN, Stacey (Ryan) Conyer of Jamestown, Scott (Julie) Rolston of Brownsburg, Matthew (Michele) Pittman of Lebanon, Michael (Cathy) Pittman of Indianapolis and AnnaJean Pittman of Carmel; great-grandchildren: Alex Jarrett, Cody Pittman, Thane Rolston, Elise Rolston, Evan Rolston, Isabella Rolston, Rachel Conyer, Emily Conyer, Levi Pittman, Jason Pittman, Zachary Pittman, and Magnolia Pittman; and one great great-granddaughter Anastasia Jarrett along with several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Carl Pittman, and a grandson Jeremy Pittman.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017 for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Tulley officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Bob will be laid to rest at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown.
