Mrs. Peggy A. Vickrey, 88, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her home at CrownPointe with her family by her side.

Peggy was born April 28, 1934, in Corbin, KY, a daughter of the late Eugene and Martha Alice (Caldwell) Worley. She married Samuel R. Vickrey in 1951.

Peggy graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1951. She worked for the Scott's Dime Store during high school, followed by Pioneer Printing and Jones, Burgess, Gennaro Insurance. Peggy was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church for over 70 years and loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed sewing and coloring, along with playing cards with her friends.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Samuel Vickrey of Lebanon; children, Gary Vickrey, Mark (Cindy) Vickrey, and Cheryl (Geoff) Loux; brother, David (Bea) Worley; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Linda (Charles) Shaffer.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, March 14, for visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Peggy will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
