Mrs. Pauline Jeanette Portell, 93, of Zionsville, passed away March 7, 2019, at Zionsville Meadows.

Pauline was born July 10, 1925, in Leadwood, MO, a daughter of the late Clyde Ernest and Gertrude Eva (White) Belfield. She married Charles Allen Portell in Ironton, MO, on May 8, 1943. He preceded her in death.

During World War II, Pauline was responsible for making bullets and inspecting them. Her family was always important to her, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Pauline loved feeding her birds and tending her beautiful flower gardens.

Survivors include her son, Charles Randall "Randy" (Teresa) Portell of Zionsville; grandchildren, Jamie (Erica) Portell, Scott (Cathy) Wynkoop, Christopher Wynkoop, Nikki (Jeff) Brown, Michael (Rachel) Portell, Kyle (Stephanie) Portell, Justin (Cori) Portell, and Austin Gibson; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her sons, Darrell A. Portell and Richard Paul "Rick" Portell; daughter, Linda Carol Wynkoop; brothers, Melvin E. (Mary) Belfield, James Alvin (Verna) Belfield, and Floyd Belfield; and sisters, Evelyn (Russell) Allen and Audra Carolyn.
