Mr. Paul Bret O'Brien, 54, of Kirklin, passed away Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Bret was born May 22, 1966, in Vincennes, a son of Paul O'Brien and Sandra (Ford) Waldrop. He married Rhonda Jeanine Huff on Nov. 2, 2013 at Dull's Tree Farm.

Bret worked in maintenance for the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Academy. He enjoyed hunting camping, woodworking and anything outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda O'Brien of Kirklin; father, Paul (Freda) O'Brien of Vincennes; mother, Sandy (Dean) Waldrop of Sumner, IL; father-in-law, Kenneth Huff of Curtisville; mother-in-law, Stella Ferren of Kokomo; uncle, Toney Ford of Bridgeport, IL; aunts, Carole (Jack) Adams of Oklahoma, Lois Jones of South Carolina, Joyce Balding of Indiana, and Betty Higgins of Indiana; and numerous cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, 509 S. Christy, Sumner, IL 62466. Bret will be laid to rest at Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Claremont, IL.
