Mrs. Patty "Pat" J. (Pruett) Boyer, 86, of Lebanon, passed away April 12, 2017, at Homewood Health Campus.
Pat was born on May 1, 1930, in Bloomington, IN. She was married to Dr. Don Boyer on Aug. 8, 1953. He died Nov. 5, 2016.
Pat graduated from Indiana University with a nursing degree and often assisted in her husband's practice. They were both avid golfers and longtime members of Ulen County Club having made a hole-in-one on #13. Pat also enjoyed playing bridge, reading, knitting and was a member of the Master Gardner's here in Lebanon. She was a past member of the Alpha Beta Chapter of Tri Kappa and Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son Craig (wife Theresa) of Lebanon, and their daughters Katie and Maggie, and son Cameron, (wife Caroline), of Sheridan and their children Jeremy and Taylor. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a son Brian, and brothers Ernie, Ancil, Herb, and Bob.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Pat on Saturday, Apr. 22, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. The Dr. Don Boyer Scholarship is for students who have been accepted into an accredited medical school and who attended high school or lived in Boone County. The scholarship amount is $10,000 per year and is renewable for up to four years.
