Mildred "Mid" LaGrange of Lebanon, IN passed away peacefully in Chattanooga, TN while visiting family on April 4, 2018. She was 78 years old.
Mid was born in Poland, IN on Jan. 8, 1940 to Paul S. and Elsie Trecil Irwin. She married the love of her life, Charles William "Bill" LaGrange in 1963. Together they raised seven children.
Mid worked at Commercial Filters in Lebanon for 16 years and then retired from Witham Memorial Hospital after working there for 25 years.
She was a proficient electronic Yahtzee player. She also enjoyed singing to her grandkids, playing cards, dancing with her husband, and listening to Elvis - but her main passion was her family. Mid never knew a stranger and always had a smile on her face and a kind word for anyone. She constantly found a way to love unconditionally and will be missed by many who were lucky to have her in their lives.
Mid was preceded in death by her loving husband Bill LaGrange, her sister, Luanna (Irwin) Lewandowski, and her brother, Keith Irwin.
She is survived by her seven children; Dane (Julie) LaGrange of Lafayette, Paul (Robin) LaGrange of Frankfort, Pam (Terry) Frederiksen of Chattanooga, TN, Craig LaGrange, Yvonne Baird, and Brenda (Bob) Kearney, all of Lebanon and Matt (Becky) LaGrange of Kirklin; her brother and sisters Jack Irwin and Bonnie Wethington, both of Lebanon, and Evelyn Wooten of Scherz, TX, as well as her sister-in-law, Barbara Irwin of Bluffton, IN. Mid was deeply loved by 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Family and Friends will gather Tuesday, April 10, 2018 for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, April 11, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. She will be joining her husband in their final resting place at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Whitestown, IN. Donations can be made to the Boone County Cancer Society, 117 W.
