Melissa K. Beeson, 41, of rural Crawfordsville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at her home.

Melissa was born Apr. 13, 1980, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon, a daughter of Jeffery L. and Bren K. (Maxwell) Thompson.

Melissa graduated from Western Boone High School with the class of 1998. She was a talented floral designer, recently owning and operating the Willow Branch in Mace, along with designing at Blooms by Sandy with her best friend, Diana. Melissa loved flowers, crafting, and music, but most importantly, she loved her two boys. She also loved all animals, especially her beloved cats, dogs, horses, and chickens. Melissa enjoyed having gatherings at their barn and playing horseshoes and cornhole. She had a great outlook on life and enjoyed life to the fullest; Melissa was loved by many.

Survivors include her sons, Alec M. Beeson and Aiden L. Beeson; parents, Jeffery and Bren Thompson; boyfriend, Chris Shelton; brother, Jeffery J. (Kristi) Thompson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Feb. 5, for a Celebration of Life from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. where friends may share stories about their life with Melissa, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.  Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Cervivor, a mission to end cervical cancer.
