Martha "Jeanie" Hess Lewis Tunnell, 74, of Marshall, IL, and formerly of Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 15, 2018. She was married to John W. Tunnell. He survives.

Jeanie was a hairdresser having retired from Parkwood Nursing Home. She was an active member of the Eastern Star and attended The Dunlap United Methodist Church. Jeanie loved gardening, canning and being a good steward of every hummingbird in the county. She was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her family, neighbors and church events. She also liked four-wheeling and fishing with her husband.

Survivors include her husband, John; children: Jodi (Trevor) Bryant of Roachdale, Jami (Andrew) Martin of Martinsville, IL, and John Lewis of Lebanon; grandchildren: James Lewis, Jared Wines, Megan Martin, and John Lewis Jr.; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia (Jim) Clark; one niece, two nephews and many cousins.   Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ester "Pat" Hess.

Family and friends will gather Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
