Mrs. Martha Caldwell, 102, of Mechanicsburg, passed away June 23, 2020.

Martha was born Oct. 2, 1917 in Thorntown, a daughter of the late Russell and Arlean (Ferguson) Reagan. She married Robert Caldwell on June 21, 1948. He died in 1991.

Martha attended Dover High School. She worked beside her husband on the family farm and worked at Shumate's for 33 years.

Martha was a life long member of Mechanicsburg Christian Church. She loved gardening and IU basketball.

Survivors include her two children, William "Bill" (Barbara) Davis of Newark, DE and Pat Thomerson of Lebanon; grandchildren: Renee (Rick) Markland, Rhonda Davis, Kim Summers and Bill (Penny) Thomerson; great grandchildren: R. Dalton and Ricky Markland, Alyson Ivy, Brandon and Brandy Harris, Chris and Nikki Summers, Pary Huckleberry, and Pate and Paige Thomerson; 11 great great grandchildren; brothers, Paul and Phil Reagan; sisters, Mary Hendershot, Jane Banter, and Kay Woodruff.  In addition to her parent and husband, Martha was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shellie Weaver and three brothers and four sisters.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Mechanicsburg Christian Church for a visitation from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at the church, 650 W. Horton Rd., Kirklin, IN 46050. Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary is handling the arrangements. Martha will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
