Mrs. Margaret Louise Brindle, 88, of Lebanon, passed away Nov. 12, 2019.
Margaret was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Boone County, IN, a daughter of the late Cyril and Evelyn (West) Gordon. She married Keith Brindle on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 1954. He passed away on Aug. 23, 1985.
Margaret was always active in the church, formerly of the Advance North Christian Church where she helped with Vacation Bible School and taught Sunday School. She was also involved in the kids' ministry, recently sewing for children in the hospital. Margaret was currently a member of the Lebanon Christian Church.
Margaret loved playing games with her grandkids and traveling with her family on various trips. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, and decorating cakes. Margaret also enjoyed participating in the Boone County Senior Olympics every year.
Survivors include her sons, Troy (Madonna) Brindle of Carmel and Gordon (Jill) Brindle of Lebanon; daughter, Peggy (Mike) Johnson of Brownsburg; daughter-in-law, Karen (Elsreich) Brindle of Lafayette; brothers, Franklin and Donald Gordon; grandchildren, Sarah (Adam) McFetridge, Emily (Blake) Criss, Katie Brindle, Laura (Malik) Roper, Kirsten Brindle, and Kersey Brindle; and great-grandsons, Henry McFetridge and Rowan Criss. In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, David Brindle; daughter, Sharon Brindle; sister, Anita Gordon; brother, Robert Gordon; and granddaughter, Morgan.
Family and friends will gather Sat., Nov. 16, 2019, for visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Lee Robinson officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Margaret will be laid to rest at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown.
