Marcia Lee
(Davis) Russell
Jul 7, 1938 — Jan 17, 2023
Lebanon
Marcia Lee (Davis) Russell, age 84, of Lebanon, Indiana passed away January 17, 2023 at Parkwood nursing home.
Marcia (Marty) was born July 7, 1938 in Lebanon, IN; the daughter of the late Donald and Lorene (Tiffin) Davis. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957, being a majorette through her high school years. Marty married William (Bill) Russell on April 22, 1962. They were married for 54 years. Marty and Bill had one son, Don.
When Don was growing up, and Bill traveled the country for business, Marty mostly stayed home. Oh, they had several family adventures as well, but once Don was off to college Marty was ready to travel the world with Bill for business and for pleasure. Wherever Bill went, Marty was by his side. After many relocations around the country, which included Illinois, Minnesota, California, Florida, and Ohio, the call of the grandkids drew them back to Lebanon.
Marty had a very close friendship with the "class of '57". That class celebrated life together, and those friendships carried through their entire lives. Even now, stories are told!
Marty was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Immediate survivors include Son, Don Russell (Vicki), Grandchildren Cali Russell and Tyler Russell.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, and her sister Betty (Davis) Copenhaver.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3rd and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4th at Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 North Lebanon St., Lebanon, Indiana. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday Morning, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Strawmyer & Drury; Pastor Scott Mauch officiating. There will be no graveside service.
If you wish to send flowers, Marty's favorite color is Yellow. If you would like to do something different to honor Marty's life: take someone to dinner, call a friend you haven't talked to lately, or dance to Elvis!
