Mrs. Louise J. Beck, 92, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Hamilton County  , daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Wynkoop) Schooler. She graduated from Jamestown High School. Louise married Billy Linn Beck on June 4, 1948. He preceded her in death May 23, 2017.

Louise enjoyed needlework, sewing, and cooking and was best known for her yeast biscuits. She also enjoyed gardening and canning what she grew. Louise loved hosting family gatherings and would take great pride in preparing the family meals. She was a longtime, faithful member of the Advance Community Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (John "Bill") Casey of Jamestown; son, Gerald "Jerry" (Peggy) Beck of Jamestown; grandchildren, Renee (April) Casey and Christopher (Chelsey) Beck; great grandchildren, Aries, Emalee, Aleena, Emberlynn, Levi, Jeremiah, Jordan, Evan, and Emily; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Schooler and Donna Culbertson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, Louise was preceded in death by her brother, Don Schooler and sister, Eileen (Larry) Skaggs.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Feb. 22, for visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Advance Community Christian Church, Advance, IN. Services will be held at the church Thursday, Feb. 23, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Vitaniemi officiating. Louise will be laid to rest in the Old Union Cemetery.
