Mrs. Lorena M. "Tex" McCoy, 95, of Lebanon, passed away Oct. 17, 2018 at Homewood Health Campus.

Tex was born Nov. 10, 1922 in Manistee, MI, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Florence (Hopkins) Cookerly. She married John R. McCoy on Dec. 22, 1940 in Gregg Co., TX. He died in 1989.

Tex was a graduate of East Mountain HS in Gregg, TX. Tex and John moved to Lebanon, IN in the mid 1940's. She kept the books for Mick and Frank Heflin for over 30 years. Tex was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She loved hunting mushrooms, square dancing, camping and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Jack (Carolyn) McCoy of Thorntown and Richard McCoy of Lebanon; sisters, Betty Nies of Logansport and Billie Brown of Kendallville; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.   In addition to her parents and her husband, Tex was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Cookerly.

Family and friends will gather Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
