Obituary

Mrs. Lola Thompson, 93, of Lebanon, passed away May 11, 2018, at Witham Memorial Hospital.

Lola was born November 18, 1924, in Putnam County, IN, a daughter of the late James Ross and Della (Gillespie) Stadler. She married Andrew Ewing Thompson on February 3, 1947. He passed away in January 1997.

Lola worked in clerical and accounting for soil conservation services and at the State House. She was a lifelong resident of Indiana. Lola was a member of the Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene in Ladoga.

Survivors include her sons Andy (Mary) Thompson of Thorntown and Dale "Spanky" Thompson of Advance; daughters Martha Dianna Hill of Lakeland, FL, Tink Lane of Lebanon, Zonia Thompson of Lebanon, and Yvonne (Bob) Willer of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.   In addition to her husband, Lola was preceded in death by an infant son Alexander James; brothers Bernard (Ruth) Stadler and Alvie (Alice) Stadler; sister Flossie (Charlie) Million; and son-in-law Jimmy Hill.

Family and friends will gather Monday, May 14, 2018 for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the church and the services will take place Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene, 117 E. St. Rd. 234, Ladoga, IN 47954. Lola will be laid to rest at Jamestown IOOF Cemetery.
