Mr. Leslie Wilkins, 97, of Lebanon, passed away on Feb. 9, 2021.

Leslie was born Oct. 23, 1923 in Lebanon to the late Tobe and Fairie Wilkins. He was married to Sarah Irene (Spillman) Wilkins on June 2, 1946. They shared over 60 years together when she died in 2007.

Leslie was a graduate of Lebanon High School.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as an auto mechanic and after the war, owned and operated the Chief Inn Restaurant and Gas Station. Leslie was also a school bus and semi-truck driver. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Eleanor Sinsko of Indianapolis; grandsons Matthew (Rita) Sinsko and Mark (Annette) Sinsko; and great grandchildren Amelia, Luke and Sydney. In addition to his parents and wife, Leslie was preceded in death by his son-in-law Michael Sinsko.

A private family service will be held on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Leslie will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
