Kristina Lynn Bush, 44, of Lebanon, passed away Nov. 19, 2019, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon after a long battle with brain tumors and cancer.

Kristy, as she preferred to be called, was born May 3, 1975, in Indianapolis. Her parents are John and Brenda (Rogers) Bush of Lebanon. On Aug. 11, 2001, Kristy married Steven P. Hoffman of Lizton, IN.

Kristy was a 1994 graduate of Western Boone Schools and for two years took classes at Ivy Tech in West Lafayette.  Kristy loved taking care of children and worked for many years at Teddy Bear Day Care in Brownsburg, as well as, babysitting for several families through the years.

Kristy loved 4-H and was a ten-year member. If she could have, she would have lived there. It didn't bother her to be at the Bee Hive kitchen every day at 5 a.m. to help make breakfast, which she and Steve did for many years. She also enjoyed running the shuttle and helping people around the fairgrounds. Many early Saturday mornings she liked being with her dad and helping with 4-H Shooting Sports as a rifle instructor. The annual Extension Homemakers Holiday Bazaar was very special to her too.

Kristy was a lifelong member of Pleasant View Church; she attended AWANA for several years and later helped third and fourth grade girls learn their Bible verses. She also helped in Sunday School.

Kristy is survived by her husband, Steve of Lebanon; parents, John and Brenda Bush of Lebanon; brother, Ian (Megan) Bush; nephews: Noah and Caleb; in-laws Daryl and Lois Hoffman; brother-in-law Stacy; aunts and uncles, Dan (Karen) Bush of Perrysville and Paul (Marilyn) Rogers of Scottsburg; and cousins, Angie, Andrew, Paula, Jon, and Shelley.

Family and friends please come to celebrate Kristy's life on Saturday. Nov. 23, 2019, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Kristy will be laid to rest at Pleasant View Cemetery in Lebanon.
