Kathy Mae Schrier, 66, of rural Thorntown, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Kathy was born February 26, 1956, in Lebanon, IN to the late Beryl (Jack) and Gloria (Hancock) McKinney. She graduated from Granville Wells High School in 1974. Kathy married Joe Schrier on January 3, 1976.

Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She attended Bethel Church of Shannondale. She liked to sew, crochet, garden, and make treats for parties and church gatherings.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years; son, Thomas (Jing) Schrier and grandson, William Schrier of Ames, Iowa; brothers, Roy McKinney of Lebanon, Charles (Wilma) McKinney of rural Lebanon, Dale McKinney and Darrell McKinney both of rural Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth McKinney, Ronnie McKinney, and David McKinney.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Kathy will be laid to rest at Shannondale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
