Gone home to be with Jesus, Kathryn S. Dixon, 97, of Lebanon, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away June 5, 2020, at her home, surrounded by family.

Kathryn was born July 13, 1922, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Russell Frank and Norta (Harakas) Snellenberger. She married Joseph W. Dixon on June 12, 1942. He passed away in 1993.

Kathryn loved doing crafts, sewing, and baking. She always enjoyed volunteering to cook and bake for various 4-H events.

Survivors include her son, Joseph R. (Marie R.) Dixon of Omaha, NE; siblings, Helen Litscher of Lebanon, Joan Gardner of Lebanon, and Earl Snellenberger of Martinsville; brother-in-law, Kenneth R. Cross of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by her siblings, Jean Cross and Russel (Nancy) Snellenberger; sister-in-law, Bonita Snellenberger; and brothers-in-law, Donald Gardner and Christian Litscher.

Family and friends will gather for a funeral service Tues., June 9, 2020, at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Kathryn will be laid to rest at North Liberty Cemetery in Indianapolis.
