Mr. John T. Wethington, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Nov. 2, 2019, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

John was born Jan. 16, 1932, in Boone County, IN, a son of the late Thomas and Myrtle (Clemens) Wethington. He married Nancy Kay Cunningham on Dec. 10, 1954. She passed away on Nov. 19, 2009.

John graduated from Lebanon High School. He worked for Boone REMC for 39 years, from 1958 until he retired in 1997. John enjoyed working outside and tinkering with whatever project he could find. He never met a stranger and was always glad to help however he could. John also loved visiting with his family, friends, and neighbors. He was a member of the Lebanon VFW.

Survivors include his daughter, Anna L. Smith of Lebanon; son, Gary T. Wethington of Lebanon; grandchildren, Christina (Geoff) Smith-Baker of Indianapolis, Elizabeth (Jason) Good of TN and John (Aimee) Webb of Sarasota, FL; great-grandchildren, Lilly Smith-Baker, Fionn Smith-Baker, Austin Ferch, Hayden Good, Gavin Good, Alex Webb, and Joanna Webb; and sister, Cherry (Malvis) Grisel of Lebanon.

A Graveside Service will be held Fri., Nov. 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
