Mr. John Miles Pugh, 76, of Lebanon, passed away Dec. 4, 2018, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis

John was born Feb. 16, 1942, in Lebanon, a son of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Witt) Pugh. He married Carolyn Louise Trammel on June 26, 1965, at the Whitestown Missionary Baptist Church.

John graduated from Purdue University in 1966. He then served in the Indiana National Guard from 1966 until 1972. John worked for Union Carbide in Speedway for 27 years, which later became known as Praxair Surface Technologies. He also worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron for 3 years. John was also a real estate broker and agent, working for the Carpenter Real Estate and Tucker Real Estate agencies. He enjoyed flying and he obtained his private, multi-engine, and commercial pilot's license, allowing him to do private, charter work.

John was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Lebanon and most recently, a member of the Mts. Runn Baptist Church in Zionsville. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Junior Achievement, the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, and the Indianapolis Purchasing Association, where he served as President.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Pugh; daughter, Michelle Lynn Pugh; and sister, Mary Jane Campbell.

Family and friends will gather Sat., Dec. 8, 2018, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jack Walker officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. John will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
