Miss Jerzie Kristine Jenkins, 13, of Thorntown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022.

Jerzie was born Apr. 12, 2009, in Lebanon, a daughter of Charles Jenkins, II and Deneen (Thomas) Jenkins.

Jerzie was an active student at Western Boone Junior Senior High School, where she was involved in cheerleading, tennis, and band. She especially loved being a cheerleader and her coach described her as being a leader and was always able to count on her. Jerzie was social and she loved being with her friends. She absolutely loved the color pink, along with chocolate and being outside.

Survivors include her parents, Charles and Deneen Jenkins and siblings, Krysta Rosner, Kurt Klassen, Kyle Crosser, Charles Jenkins III, Kaelynn Jenkins, Kenzie Jenkins, Kylie Jenkins, Quentin Alexander, Alana Clampitt, and Aliyah Clampitt.

Family and friends will gather Sunday, Oct. 9, for visitation from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 858 W. 250 N., Lebanon. Jerzie will be laid to rest at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
