On a cool, cloudy day in August, Jerry Alan Lee received his final wish; he went to be with his mother on August 24, 2017.


Jerry was born October 19, 1959, to Norma Jean (Urban) Lee and Eugene Lee. He came home to older, twin brothers Terry and Larry. Jerry was raised and educated in Lebanon, where he lived all of his life. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1980. Jerry was a member of 4-H for 10 years in gardening.


Jerry, like his brothers, had an excellent work ethic and he worked many jobs; the Avon and the Sky Vue Theaters are where he is most remembered. He then went on to work at Prairie Industrial, where he retired due to his health after 24 years.

Jerry then took care of his mother until she passed away. He then came to reside at the Memory Hall apartments and the Flats. While there, he helped with odd jobs and taking care of flowers and other things for the owner.

Jerry, like his brothers, always had a hard time just sitting still, so you would always see him walking all over town, until his health would no longer allow it. He lost many good friends prior to his passing that meant a lot to him, including Larry Summers who sparked his interest in cars and Nascar, where he cheered for Dale Earnhart and Dale Earnhart, Jr. He had many friends who he grew up with from school and good friends from later in life.

Survivors include his brothers Terry (Angie) Lee of New Castle and Larry (Debi) Lee of Lebanon; his close friend Kenny (Vicki) Manning; his nephews Daniel (Kayla) Lee, Christopher (Brittney Voss) Lee, and Eric Lee; his great nieces Ammie Lee and Nevaeh Turner; his great-nephew Jonathon Voss; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, September 23, 2017 for a celebration of life visitation from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
