Jean E. Moore, 83, of Thorntown, passed away July 27, 2017, at her home in Thorntown.

Jean was born on December 20, 1933, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Faye H. and Laurel Ford. She married Donald G. Moore on October 9, 1954. He passed away on October 6, 1996.

Jean was a lifelong resident of Thorntown and a member of the GAP Community Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and knitting for her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her children Phyllis Kessler of Indianapolis, Ruth Atkins of Thorntown, Joy (Steve) Everest of Summerville, SC, and Paul (Sheri) Moore of New Castle, PA; her grandchildren Michael (Stephanie) Atkins, Sara (James) Bolton, Jessica Everest, Victoria Everest, AnnMarie Moore, and Stuart Moore, her great- granddaughter Aundrea Atkins, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald G. Moore, her grandson Joshua Everest, 4 brothers, and a sister.

Family and friends will gather Monday, July 31, 2017 for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m. with Pastors Damon "Doc" Gardner and Kevin Wilson officiating in the GAP Community Church, 202 S.
