Obituary

Mr. James M. Watson, 88, of Lebanon and formerly from Marion, IN, passed away Jan. 29, 2018, at his residence.

Jim was born Apr. 28, 1929 in Marion, IN, a son of the late Charles and Melissa (Lemunyon) Watson. He was married to Ruthalice (Hood) Watson. She survives.

Jim served with the U.S. Army. He was a shop foreman for General Machine & Tool.

Jim was a Scout Master for 14 years with Troop 6 in Marion, IN. He was an expert woodworker and helped restore the Stockdale Mill in Roann. Jim was a former elder of First Christian Church and Walk by Faith Community Church. He currently worshiped at Lebanon Bible Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruthalice, children: Charles (Linda) Watson of Paoli, IN, Clayton (Sharon) Watson of Monticello, IN and Cynthia Watson of Lebanon; grandchildren: Grace (Thomas) Marshall, Isaac (Carrie) Watson, and Laura Watson; great-grandchildren: Dylan Watson, Eli Watson, Emilia Marshall, Orion Watson, and Charlotte Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Glendale Watson, William Watson, Dee Watson and Ruth Sneed.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 for visitation from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
