Mr. Harold Wayne Shirley, 78, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by family. He was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Lebanon, a son of the late Clifford and Fay Shirley. Harold married Joyce Edwards on Sept. 19, 1981, and she survives.

Harold worked as the service manager at R & J Oliver Sales in Lebanon for 25 years. He also farmed to the north of town for many years. Harold enjoyed auctions and antiques, along with watching his grandkids' ball games.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Joyce Shirley of Lebanon; children, Daniel (Kerri) Shirley, Bill Shirley, Brenda (Tim George) Barrett, all of Lebanon and Theresa (Steven) Blubaugh of Frankfort; sister; Joy Reeves of Lebanon; grandchildren, Emma, Lily, and Levi Shirley, Clifford (Brianna Bunch) Shirley, Ashley (Coleton) Christy, Jessica Barrett, John Barrett, Elizabeth (Carl) Dunbar, Tyson Williams, all of Lebanon, Eric (Summer) Blubaugh of Crawfordsville, Stephanie (Michael) Maglothin of New London, CT; great grandchildren, Quentin Williams, Joseph, Jacklyn, and Jazmin Dunbar; Bennett and Lincoln Blubaugh; Bishop and Heidi Maglothin; Parker and Oliver Shirley; Trinity, Ava, and Callaway Christy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his brother, William Earl Smith.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Oct. 28, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Fred Grenier officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Harold will be laid to rest at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Fayette.
