Glen Wayne Horlacher passed away on April 7, 2018 at the age of 84.
Glen was born on Nov. 11, 1933 to Claude and Lelah Horlacher in Thorntown, IN. He married Betty Jean Smith on Mar. 23, 1958 at Salem Methodist Church in Zionsville, IN.
Glen graduated from Dover High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army and after returning home, he farmed in Jefferson Township in Boone County. He served on the Boone County 4-H Fair Board for several years and was an active member of the Thorntown Kiwanis. He was a life member of the Shannondale Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife Betty; daughter, Lou Ann (Michael) Day, and sons, Dennis and Douglas (Dianne) Horlacher; grandchildren: Ryan (Emily) Day, Erin (Hunter) Pratt, Levi (Anran) Horlacher, Daniel Horlacher, Nicole Horlacher, Dylan (Cecilia) Horlacher, and Lee Ann (Quincy) Novak; great-grandchildren: Kyler and Keelie Wilhoite, Knoah Horlacher, Conrad Day, Logan and Davis Pratt, and a sister, Doris Sherrill. He was preceded in death by a sister, Phebe Smith and three brothers, Carl, Lloyd and his twin Clem Horlacher.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, April 11, 2018 for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the funeral service on Thursday, April 12, at 11 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Glen will be laid to rest at the Shannondale Cemetery in Shannondale.
