Gaylan Elaine Gibson, 73, of Thorntown, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born November 26, 1951, in Phoenix, AZ, a daughter of the late Donald George Breedlove and Cletis Neo (Deese) Copus. Gaylan married Charles Gibson on September 6, 1969.

Gaylan loved animals, especially cats and goats.

Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Charles Gibson; sons, Geoffrey (Shellie) Gibson, Curtis (Jessica) Gibson, and Jon Gibson (Kelly); step-mother, Janice Breedlove; grandchildren, Sam, Lacy, Madison, Bethany, Laben, Cheyenne, Kaylee, and Landyn; great grandchildren, Amelia, Lanie, Wesley, Xander, and Waylon; and siblings, Dale, Mark, Marla, Brett, John, and Tracey.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Humane Society for Boone County, PO Box 708, Lebanon, IN 46052.

Family and friends will gather Friday, January 3, 2025, for a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. with Joe Lovell officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
