Garry Wright, 65, of Charlestown, formerly of Lebanon, passed away January 6, 2021.

Garry was born January 20, 1955, in Noblesville, a son of the late Lawrence and Carolyn Wright.

Garry attended school in Thorntown and transferred to Lebanon High School his junior year, graduating in 1973.  Garry then went on to work for Case IH, working for Larr, Beardsley, and Bane-Welker Equipment.  He always enjoyed his work serving in a variety of roles, where he began in sales and service and became a well-respected manager.  He was able to teach all those he loved that "Red tractors work, and green tractors break!"  Always willing to help a customer, farmer, or friend, day or night, he worked tirelessly doing what he loved.

"Crazy Uncle" Garry enjoyed golf, Chips Ahoy, oatmeal raisin cookies, Twizzlers, Diet Coke, and IU basketball.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  A son, a brother, an uncle, a papaw, a friend, and a dad…always ready to shoot hoops, fix your car, and help you move, replace your water heater, or mow your yard.  Always ready to work and help.

Survivors include his wife Wendy of Charlestown; children Justin (Tricia) Wright, Jayme (Steve) Talbott, Krista (Kyle) Hunter, Brittany (Wesley Harris) Wright, Shannon Nicholson, David (Sandra) Vanover, Grace (Nate) Patterson, Sara (Rick) Ledford, and Brianna (Jonathan) Kane; 29 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by his siblings Rick Wright, Cindy Engle, and Carol Sue Trentlage.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, January 16, 2021 for visitation from 11:00-2:00 with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kyle Hunter and Pastor Nate Patterson officiating.  Services will be held in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N.
