Mrs. Elizabeth "Liz" Fairfield, 75, of Thorntown, passed away Feb. 19, 2018, surrounded by her family.


Liz was born April 8, 1942 in Bronson, MI, a daughter of the late Herschel and Helen (Gregg) Hughes. She was married to James "Jim" C. Fairfield. He passed away in 2015.

Liz worked for Stalcop, Inc. in Thorntown for 20 years. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Angela Fairfield of Thorntown and Lori Fairfield of Lebanon; grandchildren: Kylie Fairfield, Jayden Fairfield and Tyler Chasteen; a great-granddaughter Mackenzie Clements and a brother Ed Hughes of Camden, MI. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son James Randy Fairfield, a granddaughter Kelsey Chasteen, a brother Hugh Hughes and sisters Jane Hughes and Henrietta Hughes.

Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon has been entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
