Obituary

Donna Sue Wolfe, 80, of Lebanon, finished her journey here on June 13, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief struggle with cancer.

Sue was born on March 22, 1937, in Greensburg, IN, the daughter of the late Paul and Grace Evans. She married the love of her life, Otis Paul Wolfe, on July 8, 1957, in Lebanon. He survives.

She was a home maker until January 1980, when she went to work at Witham Memorial Hospital. She retired in 2002, after a 22 year nursing career.

She loved her family dearly and enjoyed every moment she spent with them. Her favorite holidays were the 4th of July, Halloween, and Christmas, where she would spend weeks decorating the outside of her house to celebrate the special holidays.

She enjoyed flower gardening, sun bathing, shopping, camping, boating, and traveling. If you couldn't find her playing in her flowers, you could sure find her lying out in the sun.

She leaves behind and will be greatly missed by her loving husband of almost 60 years Paul; her son Paul David (Debbie) Wolfe of Lebanon; her daughter Sharon (Kurt Kinsler) of Whitestown; her granddaughter Amber Jo (Chester) McCormick of Lebanon; her great-granddaughters Hailey and Kaylan McCormick of Lebanon; her very special pride and joy, great-granddaughter Mary Jane Sue McCormick of Lebanon; 4 nieces and 3 nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Paul; her sister Dorothy; her brothers-in-law Richard "Dick" Wolfe and Robert "Bob" Wolfe; her sister-in-law Ann (JD) Lancaster; and her niece Brenda Sue Lancaster.

Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life on July 8, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. You are invited to visit the website www.strawmyerdrury.com where you may sign her online register and leave a personal message. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Boone County Cancer Society, 117 W. Elm Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052.
