Mr. David E. Newman, 54, of Whitestown, passed away Aug. 17, 2018, at Copper Trace Senior Living in Westfield.

David was born Feb. 27, 1964, in Lebanon, the son of Gerald and Donna (Ferguson) Newman and they survive. He married Sally Spray on Jan. 16, 1988 and she survives.

David graduated from Western Boone High School in 1982. He worked as a construction electrician, most recently for Huston Electric. David enjoyed fishing, model building and shooting sports. His memberships included 10 year 4-H, the Englewood Church of Christ in Crawfordsville and IBEW.

In addition to his parents and wife, David is survived by his son Seth Newman of Whitestown; his sister Teresa (Tim) Huber of Indianapolis; six nieces, five nephews, three great-nieces, and four great-nephews.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, Aug. 21 for visitation from 3-7 p.m. and funeral services will take place Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 10:30 a.m. with Elder Bob Hines officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. David will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
