Courtney Anne Hedge Masbaum, 42, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 29, 2018.
Courtney was born Aug. 27, 1976, in Indianapolis, a daughter of Tony and Linda (Brantley) Hedge.
Courtney graduated in the top ten of her class from Lebanon High School in 1995, where she also played Varsity volleyball. She was then an alumna of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where she was in the first female class and was a charter member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she remained an active alumna. She also attended Purdue University.
Courtney worked as a property tax coordinator for Simon Property Group for 12 years. Through the Simon Property Group, she participated in many charitable events, including the Mutt Strutt, where she would push her dogs in strollers. Her dogs, Graceland and Cher, were her furbabies. Courtney had a tight circle of girlfriends who were very important to her. She had a laugh that could be picked out of a crowd. Courtney was a former member and officer of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her parents, Tony and Linda Hedge of Lebanon; brother, Gregory (Mindy) Hedge of Lebanon; sister, Micci (Matt) French of Evansville; niece and nephew, Carsten and Lenora; aunts and uncles, Charles (Cindy) Brantley and family, Mikel (Kris) Brantley and family, and Sharon (Don) Malone; and many more extended cousins. Courtney was preceded in death by her grandparents, Russell and Maxine Hedge and Doyel and Hilda Brantley, to whom she was the first grandchild.
Family and friends will gather Sun., Jan. 6, 2019, for visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
