Carlie Kortman, 23 of  Kirklin passed away Tuesday January 11, 2022.

Carlie was born June 4, 1998, in Kirklin, daughter of Edward and Stephanie (Findlay) Kortman.

Carlie was studying Criminal Justice at Indiana State University while working in property management for Aion Management. She loved her job, they were her second family. Carlie loved life, her friends, and family, she loved her parents most of all.  She loved dressing up, doing her nails and make-up.

Survivors include her parents, Edward and Stephanie Kortman of Kirklin and a brother Dylan Kortman (fiancé Chandler Wildman) of Indianapolis.  Grandmother Sandra Hobson and Debra Kortman, (partner Mike Deciutiig), aunts and uncles, Marc and Kimberly Richwine, Josh and Maree Hobson and aunt Leah Kortman, great grandparents, Marion and Veta Vanderpool, and cousins, Michael D. Richwine, Jade, Madden, Meredith and Bo Hobson.

Carlie was preceded in death by grandparents, Ed Kortman and Mike Hobson.

Family and friends will gather  Wednesday, January 19, 2022 for visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Carlie will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Boone County.
