Obituary

Bonnie Sue Tunkus (Worrell), 77, of Brownsburg, passed away Dec. 17, 2019, at Brownsburg Meadows.

Bonnie was born Dec. 16, 1942, in Lebanon, IN, daughter of the late Cleo Worrell and Bernice (Simmons) Fulwider.

She graduated from Lizton High School and then moved to Lebanon where she raised her son. She married the late Charles Tunkus while living in Lebanon.  She later moved to Florida where she resided for 33 years.  She had a great love of music that started in high school with frequent trips to Indiana Beach to see big bands perform at the Ballroom with her mother and sister, which continued throughout her life.  She had a great love of the ocean and beaches, which led her to Florida.  She had a real love of people and many friends that showed through her volunteer work at Saint Petersburg Calvary Chapel and her condo association at Casa Del Mar.

Survivors include her son, Eric (Sarah); grandchildren, Hannah and Jackson Long, and Spencer and Alexander Worrell; brothers, Ted (Pat) Worrell and Bernie (Myrna) Worrell; and sister, Dixie (Fred) Rodgers. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo Worrell and Bernice (Willis) Fulwider.

Family and friends will gather Sat., Dec. 28, 2019, for visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
