Bonnie J. "Janie" Cunningham, 83, of Lebanon, passed away June 29, 2019, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Janie was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Delphi, IN, a daughter of the late Argyle and Evelyn (Manning) Clawson. She married James Cunningham on Apr. 17, 1957. He preceded her in death in March 1988.

Janie graduated from Lebanon High School, and then worked as a waitress at the American Legion, the VFW, and the Lebanon Eagles. She loved to watch cooking shows, do crosswords, and color. Janie also enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her cat Sam was especially important to her. Janie was a member of the First United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son, Mike (Carol) Cunningham of Lebanon; daughters, Cindy (Michael) Anderson of Inverness, FL and Christie (Robert) DeWitt of Lebanon; brothers, Bobby Joe Ashley of Lebanon and Tommy Clawson of Sun City Center, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Wallace of Texas, Jennifer Hoffman of Lebanon, James Cunningham of Indianapolis, Kayla Jordan of WV, and Sam DeWitt; and great-grandchildren, Kory Mantooth of Lafayette, Justin Cope of Lebanon, Cade, Reid, and Sloan Nelson, and Hailey and Carly Hoffman. In addition to her parents and husband, Janie was preceded in death by her grandsons, TJ Nelson and Dagun Smith.

Family and friends will gather Fri., July 5, 2019, for visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
