Beverly Jean (Lottes) Voorhis

Beverly Jean (Lottes) Voorhis, age 80, of Lebanon, IN, went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2018.

She was born to William & Mary (Shockency) Lottes (both deceased) on April 25 ^th, 1938 in Hendricks, County, IN. Her siblings are Harold Lottes (deceased), Carol Anderson, Marilyn Couger and Patricia Wade (Donald).

Beverly graduated from Pinnell High School in 1956 and married Paul S. Voorhis, Sr. on April 26, 1957. Their children are Paul Voorhis, Jr., Diana Nelson, Mary James (David), Lisa Spears (Larry), Teresa Summers (Junior) and Stacy Voorhis-George (Steve). Grandchildren include Jacob Pollard (Savannah), Jessica Hulse (Scott), Joshua Summers, Danielle Allen (Kevin), Austin Spears, Kaycee Williams (Joe), Briana Voorhis and James George, as well as 10 great-grandchildren – all of which brought immense joy to her life.

Bev was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time outside, working in her flower garden, birdwatching and fishing. Her faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering and she loved to spread the Gospel to others. She had a giving spirit and generous heart - always helping others in need. Beverly was an Office Manager at the Boone County WIC Program for 15 years. She also enjoyed volunteer work later in life.

Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Beverly's life Tues., Nov. 6, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will take place Wed., Nov. 7, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Anthony Stone officiating at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Paul at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to The Alzheimer's Association-Greater Indiana or to the charity of the donor's choice.
