Mrs. Beverly Pearl (McMillen) Jones, 88, of Thorntown, passed away Mar. 8, 2019, at Harbour Manor in Noblesville, IN.
Beverly was born Apr. 8, 1930 in Plymouth, IN, a daughter of the now late Roy D. McMillen and Edna Marie Bordner McMillen Timmons. She married David W. Jones in 1948. He passed in 2014.
Beverly was a 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School. She was primarily a homemaker, raising four children but also worked for Hankins Grocery and Woody and Allen in Thorntown and sold Avon products forever! As a life-time member of Thorntown Christian Church, Beverly taught Sunday school, was a youth leader and participated in Christian Women's Fellowship. Beverly was also active in the America Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children: Mike (Susan) Jones of Anderson, Marilyn (David) Beem of Noblesville, Mark (Stephanie) Jones and Gary (Kristi) Jones, both of Thorntown; grandchildren: Melissa Gannon of Indianapolis, Laura (Nick) Metzger of Fishers, Katie Jones of Greenfield, Jennifer (Caleb) Warner of Noblesville, Lisa Beem of Noblesville, Natalie (Korey) Copeland of Max, Caitlin Jones of Indianapolis, Stuart Jones of Thorntown, Caleb Jones of Thorntown, Kara Jones of Lebanon, Ashley (Tyler) Squibb of Dayton, OH, Austin (Emily) Jones, Mackenzie Jones and Madison Jones, all of Thorntown; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Wing of North Salem, and a brother-in-law, James Jones of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother-in-law, Lawrence Wing.
Family and friends will gather Friday, Mar. 15, 2019 for visitation from 4-8 p.m. and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 16 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Glen Jewell officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Beverly will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
