Mrs. Betty J. Dixon, 80, of Lebanon, passed away Jan. 5, 2018, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.
Betty was born March 14, 1937, in Boone County, a daughter of the late Lee Murray and Mary Lenora (Wildman) Gott. She married Ron Dixon on September 16, 1955, at the Pleasant View Church. They were married 62 years. He survives.
Betty worked as a secretary at the United Methodist Children's Home in Lebanon. She enjoyed genealogy and she was a member of the genealogic society. Betty was also a member of the Otterbein UMC.
Survivors include her husband Ron Dixon of Lebanon; her son Ronald Bryan (Rebecca) Dixon of Bloomington; her daughter Mary Jane Dixon of Greenwood; her brother Ed Gott of Jamestown; and her grandchildren Madeline (Ben) Collison of Charlotte, NC, Daniel (Cara) Dixon of Bloomington, IN, and Benjamin Dixon of Milwaukee, WI; and her great-grandchildren Olivia and Lily Collison and Callum Dixon. Betty was preceded in death by an infant daughter Angela Marie; her brothers Lee Murray (Donna) Gott, Jr., Harold Wayne Gott, and Larry Gott (infant); her sister Edith Pauline Gott Richardson Owens; and her sister-in-law Gaye Gott.
Family and friends will gather Thurs., Jan. 11, 2018 for visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. with Pastor Seth Neckers officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N.
