Mr. Basil R. Hadley, 77, of Thorntown, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at his home. He was born March 13, 1948, in Indianapolis, a son of the late John and Betty (Thomas) Hadley.

Basil attended school in Indianapolis and then Arizona State University. He worked for CSX Rail for many years until his retirement. Basil enjoyed watching television—especially Fox News—playing the guitar, and traveling. He was also an avid supporter of Donald Trump.

A man of strong faith, Basil was a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where he participated in mission work and found joy in serving others.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Hadley of Thorntown; sons, Scott (Claudia) Hadley of Arizona and John (Barbara) Hadley of Mississippi; daughter, Melissa Hadley of Indianapolis; step-daughters, Shelia (Mark) Garing and Jackie (Dave) Gunderman, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Donald Trump Re-Election Fund.
