Barbara Jean Foster, 83, of Lebanon, died Thursday, August 7, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born December 8, 1941, in Boone County to the late Walter William and Opal Mae (Bean) Hickson. She graduated from Thorntown High School and attended the Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. Barbara worked as a bookkeeper for State Farm and Conseco Insurance until her retirement.

Barbara enjoyed watching Indiana Pacers basketball, Indianapolis Colts football, and spending time with her family and friends — often "ruining" their fun by always winning at Euchre.

She is survived by her son, Timothy Alan Foster of Chicago; long-time companion John Berndt of Lebanon; and siblings Judy Price of Lebanon, Chuck (Cindy) Hickson of Lebanon, Carolyn (Dallas) Hadley of Thorntown, and Mary Jane (Ken) Billeter of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Alan Foster, and siblings Robert "Bob" Hickson, Donny Hickson, and Katie Bryant.
