Aurelian Lefter, 56, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Aurelian was born Mar. 17, 1965, in Bucharest, Romania, a son of Anna (Lefter) Militaru and the late Marian Perjue. He married Linda K. (Leonard) Thomas on Nov. 20, 1991. She survives.

In his youth, Aurelian was a member of the Romanian State Circus and travelled the world. Before retiring due to his health, he had been an owner- operator of a freight expediting business for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing poker, fishing, and cooking ethnic foods.

Survivors include his mother, Anna of Romania; wife, Linda Lefter of Lebanon; son, Anthony Thomas of Lebanon; grandchildren, Trosten (Sarah Land) Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Landon Billingsley, and Jake Anspach; great grandson, Trevor Thomas; sisters, Mari, Daniella, and Roxanne; and several nieces and nephews in Romania.

In addition to his father, Aurelian was preceded in death by his son, Trevor Thomas.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Final care of Aurelian has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the United Kidney Fund.
